It’s entertaining listening to their interactions, Max and GP, and almost equally entertaining reading all the comments in their chats; “omg, I think they hate each other… what’s going on with their relationship, wtf happened…”.
Honestly, they seem like brothers. Brothers will sometimes argue, and beat the snot out of one another. But at the end of the day, GP and Max have the same goal, which is to win the race.
After Max become champion for the first time, he was asked how important GP was to him.
He answered in the typical immediate and direct way something in the sense of: ‘very, I will only work with him. We are fully honest with each other: I will tell him when he fucks up, he will tell me when I fuck up. I won’t race without him as my race engineer’
