"We also launched on Steam last week, and, although being review-bombed isn’t a fun experience, it’s been great to see lots of new players jump into Overwatch 2 for the first time. Our goal with Overwatch 2 has been to make the game more accessible than ever for more people than ever before.

Many of the reviews on Steam mention the cancellation of the much larger component of PvE that was announced in 2019 as one of their primary reasons for dissatisfaction with the game. I get that. That announcement was about an ambitious project that we ultimately couldn’t deliver.

If we can’t turn back the clock, then what can we do? We can keep adding to and improving Overwatch 2. That is how we move forward. This means more maps, heroes, game modes, missions, stories, events, cool cosmetics, and features - an ever-expanding, evolving, and improving game. This is the future of Overwatch. One where we will continually create and innovate on what is making the game great now for the players who are playing now."

    What can we do?

Well, and I’m not an expert here, but sounds like you could listen to their feedback and add in that feature they all wanted.

If they literally cant deliver the content they promised they should also drop their monetization changes, because without the PvE mode that is literally all the change from ow1 to ow2 was. That, and removing some maps and making teams smaller (more shitty)

Yea, the big monitization update won’t be made better with maps and heros. I’m done with OW.

I haven’t been following it closely, but my understanding is that it wasn’t just a feature that people wanted, it was something that Blizzard promised with their whole chest when they announced Overwatch 2, and was essentially the main justification for making a sequel instead of continuing to support and improve the original. Absolutely wild that they went “yeah, sorry, too much work, but be sure to buy a battle pass this season” several months after they released.

Only thing Acti-Blizzard is innovating on is the number of ways they can rip gamers off. I still don’t understand why people pay attention to their games. Blizzard of old is dead. The new Zombie Blizzard might make good games, but overall experience surrounding it will always be shit, as long as people keep buying and playing them.

Making a single player games is “an ambitious project” for Activision Blizzard these days. How embarrassing.

If we can’t turn back the clock

But you CAN! Literally every complaint is about the shit changes you have made to the game! Get rid of them!

The more heroes they add the less I want to play this game, how can tf2 from 2007 be better than this. Maybe I’m just too old lol

How is making a single player campaign for a game something they can’t deliver when they have been making games with single player campaigns for decades. Blizzard is a ghost of what it was.

It’s harder cause it would make less money from a product that people would actually like, instead of having a lesser game with worse MTX, preying upon people.

      Baldur’s Gate 3? What’s that? That doesn’t exist…
