Explain Like I'm Five@lemmy.world•What makes a country real/not real?English
5·5 months agoDubai was an independent country before 1971. (Although sort of under the British since 1833, the exact details varied over time.)
Either that or you’re thinking about Djibouti.
I know this is annoying for you right now, but take a break from the internet for a bit and come back to this thread when you’re calmer.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is there anything people on the internet won't claim they are an expert in?
3·7 months agoWhy would I provide sources to you if you and your generation are too addicted to video games and slang terms to even search it up on Google‽ You’re obviously trying to contest my authority on expertise-analysis without even knowing a single word of what I’m even saying rather than looking for a genuine discussion like the angel I am.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is there anything people on the internet won't claim they are an expert in?
2·7 months agoNo it doesn’t, I study this subject for a living and have a degree in expertise-analysis and all of the results I’ve gotten in the past few decades show that there isn’t. Stop lying when you don’t know what you’re even saying. /s
Same here. I have to smuggle Brits across the border daily going through and from the internet highway and its tiring; sometimes they try to run out the car and I have to get them back in the box.
