1·3 days agoFerrari giving its FP1 to 29 years old Fuoco is pretty wild, I guess they must be satisfied with his development work to hand him this drive?

Formula 1@lemmy.world•Points since the summer break for the Top 4 of the WDC.English
1·4 days agoIt might be that McLaren stopped development earlier than RBR, or they simply were at the top of what advances were still possible while Red Bull still had potential to find. Apparently Red Bull is now able to drive lower which helps its performance a lot.

32·6 days agoIn Vienna, over the last decade the authorities have removed hundreds of parking spots like this where cars repeatedly blocked the tram. Now, the number of times it happens is very low, since the spots that remain should be very easy to Park in a way that doesnt block

Formula 1@lemmy.world•Why Piastri missed McLaren's 'We Are The Champions' momentEnglish
2·18 days agoIt was poor planning from McLaren to not think ahead of what to do in such a situation. I have heard people suggest that McLaren didn’t plan for these celebrations because it would be “bad luck”

5·19 days agoReading up on it a bit more, it seems like Lando also only was there by coincidence. And it indeed was just a FOM thing for show. Weird move by Liberty.

91·19 days agoI didn’t see this live, but what the fuck were they thinking to celebrate the WCC without their WDC-leading driver??
Maybe this was FOM stressing them to celebrate at this specific time, but if it was a team decision then they’re actively doing bs and you don’t want to pull that bs with a driver managed by Mark Webber

Formula 1@lemmy.world•F1 declares first Heat Hazard ahead of Singapore GPEnglish
6·23 days agoNow the teams have two options: either their drivers must wear the mandatory cooling vests or their cars must carry more ballast.
Whether the drivers elect to use the vests or not, the rules state that their cars must be fitted with the necessary equipment to make the vests work – specifically the pumps, coolant reservoir and heat exchanger.
