F1 TV is $95 a year, Apple TV is $99 if you pay in advance, or $13/mo. So pretty similar actually. Although that’s current pricing, Apple has 3 months to bump the price or something shitty like that. F1 TV only worked on like 3 devices, one of which was Apple TV. This might actually improve their Linux compatibility if it’s now using Apple infrastructure.

The tutorial for Hollow Knight: Silksong was definitely super long. Took me about 50 hours to get 100%, and a lot more to master it, and I still struggled when I played the main game of Silksong. I didn’t mind the extra long tutorial though, it was extremely well made.

That’s still not a lot of info. What kind of games do you want to play? Do you want to play the latest games at max graphics? Are you playing older games? FPS, moba, strategy? Those all have dramatically different requirements. Do you want to use ray tracing? Most importantly, do you want Linux of Windows?

I think it’ll only be “too hard” the first play through. I got every achievement in HK, I’ll probably do the same with Silksong, which means eventually I’ll be able to beat every boss in order without dying in less than 10 hours. It’ll get easier to the point where I’m adding challenges to my game just to stay entertained.

Most of the complaints are limited to the early game. After act 1, I didn’t really struggle to the same level anymore. I had the masks and abilities I needed to navigate hard fights.
