Koreader is quite good imo. But I only tried it recently

Why are they all so ugly
I’m not part of this community, but I have fun memories of playing airsoft as a kid! Cool to see this pop up on Lemmy

I fully believe they will try and replace us as soon as they can. But as a software engineer, companies are fooling themselves if they think AI can replace good engineers. I work with some extremely talented engineers, and they would laugh at me if I said AI is going to replace them. I think people spend too much time on tech twitter listening to vibe coders. The ceiling for how complex of a project a human can handle compared to AI is at least 10000x higher with a human.
But I agree if they could replace us they would. And that’s why we band together with the people who are being replaced, because it’s bad for humanity as a whole.
I just started using hetzner. Any reason I shouldn’t be using them?

That’s like Netflix discontinuing their dvd service only a few years ago

The whole TALKING IS HARD album is great
I have 5g but I’ll give you one of mine. Now I still have 4g.

The cloud gateway max lets you use your own storage without getting one of their giant NVRs. I got the wireless doorbell. Initially I kinda regretted not getting the wired one, but once I tuned my WiFi I haven’t had any issues. But definitely go wired if you can.

Ubiquiti. Cloud gateway max (router + NVR) for $200 with no storage, add your own 2tb nvme, get a ubiquiti doorbell for $300. Little pricy, but simple to setup and all the footage lives locally on the cloud gateway max. No subscription, and you can add more cameras later. The cloud gateway max is an excellent 2.5G router. Slap on a WiFi 7 access point for $200 more and you got yourself a killer home network.

Not banned from Reddit, but I was given a warning for suggesting big tech was unethical.

She’s still around?

I kinda want one lol
What if I’m in a relationship and also have a cat

For a second I thought the horse was talking and the camera person was Sandy.
Maybe what I misunderstood is where git ends and github starts. I know there are other hosting platforms, and I’ve used a lot of git visualizers. But what I’ve never tried to do is use git with multiple developers without connecting to some 3rd party server. Is there some peer to peer functionality built into git or did I totally misunderstand your original comment? Or are you literally sharing the git folder via network file system, thumb drive, etc?
Cloudflare pages has been very nice since I stopped using Vercel about a year ago. Netlify is also nice!
