I personally hate rounded corners and shadows added everywhere. Makes most things look crappy and smudged.

It’s because touch devices and touchpads are the most common input devices now. Most people scroll with gestures on the touchpad so there’s no need for a scroll bar.
Sure, but if you want to make it small, at least enlarge it on hover.
