Loved the last game (9/10) with my biggest complaints being a few combat quirks. This game addressed ALL of those complaints so…why is the score lower?
The story was a little too convenient. The side quests were mostly unfunny love stories. 1/3 of the game is “remember this from the earlier games?” and most significantly - getting forced to alternate between two very different parties was not fun at all.
Also, most of the “romance” subplots involve the main character getting straight up sexually assaulted
When I tried the first Like A Dragon, I liked the characters and the environment. But the gameplay got interrupted too frequently with very long cutscenes. I don’t mind watching cutscenes but LAD did not have a good balance between active and passive enjoyment. At least that was the case in the first hour or two until I gave up.
I finished Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. 6/10

Does it get better?
