Alas, I’m no longer entitled to a free covid-19 vaccine on the glorious NHS (cutbacks, innit, I’m sure) so I thought I’d see how much it cost on the private market… and my gabber has been well and truly flabbered.

Looks like between £80 and £110 for each one near me.

It’s good to know the “free market” is keeping costs down and making things cheaper and better for everyone /s

If only your first name were Chris instead of Almost.

On a more serious note, time to write to your MP, the health secretary, and your local health board. Get friends and family to do the same.

It’s unlikely to change much, but it’s better than doing nothing. Kick up a stink and something may change, do nothing and it never will.

The point of the NHS is healthcare, free at the point of service, for all. Not private healthcare for those who can afford it and barebones emergency care for the proles.

So glad with the way things are going.

I’ve been sick the last few days, still sick today. Could be flu could be COVID. Same thing happened last year, I was too busy with work to go get a free vaccine (I’m entitled for health reasons) and I ended up going down with it.

This year, gone down before I even got the text that this years was available, come to think of it, still no text.

It’s been rough, I’m still suffering, so I defo recommend you all get it.
