If this can get super licence points (and for the record, I think it’s great that it does), why not IndyCar or similarly situated series? I’d love to see drivers like Colton Herta on the grid.

What do you mean over-preferation? Because the list you posted shows that F4 gets you more points (not much more but still). They’re driving the same cars as some F4 series so shouldn’t they get the same points?

And it also seems like it’s a downgrade from w series.

Oops I misread the list, you are absolutely right

And it should be a downgrade from W series, this series is a grade lower

Sounds like some good changes are being made. Hopefully this endeavour will prove more useful than Formula W.

Indeed. It would be great to have a female driver make it onto the grid, so long as they’re being set up for success and not just pushed on to the grid to be a back marker. At that point, in my opinion it’d be a lose-lose for the driver and the FIA.

The wild card idea sounds great in order to get drivers in for a weekend who arent interested in doing a full season.

Though I wonder: obviously those points cant count for the teams championship?

Anyone know if it is being properly televised this year? Enjoyed w series but predictably the first f1 academy season passed me by largely

It should be aired on F1TV like other support series. I cannot find the article ATM
