My computer is set to 1. Warn me at 9.25 to accept or cancel suspension at 9.30. 2. Set volume to 10% and suspend at 9.30 (just in case it gets woken up, I once woke it up at 4am and had a radio application wake up the family). 3. RTC Wake set to 5.59 4. 6.25am my wakeup music plays.
I have suspend, also hybrid - where it will suspend, and after a certain time (useful for laptops, mine’s set for 12 hours so I never hit this unless I go on holiday) it’ll hibernate.

Why must Windows news always assume that everyone runs Windows? Isn’t this the main bug with all operating systems?
I was under the impression that ALL websites are basically a kind of webapp. Some (like Lazada) are what you’d call ‘Progressive Web Applications’.
I use Webapp-Manager on Linux, which will set up a shortcut to launch any website/url as a Webapp… at the time of creation, you can choose Firefox or some other browser as the backend (works well for sites that dont work in Firefox).
So for me, the BBC Radio website is a webapp, Overseerr and Sonarr are webapps too.
Pretty sure only the filesystem will change - so if you are synchronised as a backup, just zip up that folder and pull out what you need for the new install. I had no issues re-installing with BTRFS from ext4 and restoring a backup file a few months back.
Also, I’d say definitely stop using these for passwords, if you use Bitwarden or something similar then you can have the same stuff for your phones/tablets/computers everywhere that don’t rely on local files.
If I start a session somewhere outside my home environment, I can pull up Bitwarden and log in with no issues - nothing saved to the browser and no conflicts between phone/desktop etc (e.g. icloud passwords clashing with ones I use on my desktop - I use Bitwarden on an iphone too).
That all depends on how, and the context in which it’s done. My first girlfriend would spend hours tickling my back in between sessions - I never forgot those sunny days.
Now with more aggressive tickling - it is akin to a violent attack, and my father used to tickle me until I couldn’t stand it, and then push some more. Often it ended with me in tears… so with my son, sometimes I’ll grab a foot and start tickling it like mad - but I have a MUCH shorter cutoff time so that it ends with him laughing.
So it’s not simple - but consent is a huge issue.
Alternatives to Google, to YouTube, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Messenger, alternatives to Chromium/Chrome browsers - these are important things to be aware of.

Looking at reviews, people who bought newer paperwhites say the contrast is lower - but they’re still good. However, the BASIC kindle now has 300ppi and backlight, and good contrast and new e-ink display so I’d go with a new BASIC kindle now.
Casio Duro
I got very lucky with a Casio Tough Solar bought as a stopgap… after having owned some nice Seiko, Citizen etc - I lost my last one when a pin came loose riding my bike. Got home, no watch… old story.
I abused this NASTY cheap plastic Casio, but the plastic just keeps smoothing out - the face is not glass, so scratches got polished out with toothpaste. Now 9 years old… but crazy that I only actually adjust it about once or twice a year when it gets more than a half minute off. It should be maybe +/- 20 seconds per month, but I get that in a year.
The main issue is contrast - I have a cheap IKEA USB LED light, so I take that with a powerbank when it’s too dark as I’m not keen on the backlight - backlight is good for keeping the background paper ‘white’ though.
Paperwhite 3 is great, bought 5 years ago and has 300ppi and BETTER contrast than the newer models ;) When it gets old, I’ll just pick up a replacement battery via AliExpress.
Can’t be beaten on price, especially if you don’t rely on Amazon (I just download books to Calibre, grab epubs via Annie’s Archive, then transfer a conversion to AZW3 via USB).
B&W DM601 loudspeakers brought with me from the UK, now nearly 20 years old and still sounding excellent (with a cheap Polk subwoofer to fill out the bottom end down to 25Hz maybe).
Monitor Audio Bronze 2 loudspeakers (current main system) - again, with a subwoofer to extend the bottom end.

My computer - initially in 2013, upgraded until now - runs all my media (Music, TV and movies) living in Thailand. Also, I must add, 4.1 channel class-D amplifiers (ZK-TB21 for 2.1 channels front, plus another 2 channel amplifier for the rear - together costing around $25 and running off an old laptop PSU, now driving those old B&W DM601’s VERY nicely indeed).
Casio Tough Solar watch - the cheapest I ever bought, and likely the one that’ll last me until I die (goes in shower and swimming with me, still running perfectly after 9 years, needs adjusting 2 seconds each year, never changed a battery…)
Kindle Paperwhite in 2018 - the best version (better contrast than newer models) - infinite supply of books at Annie’s Archive (like The Book Thief)
