I will say in its benefit that if there is to be AI-summaries as answers to search queries, this has the right ideas: List your sources atop, even have a separate sources tab, include direct quotes where possible (though this feature is weird, I don’t always get it, maybe topic-specific).

I still don’t like it (just link me to the bloody source instead) but I know a ton of people who explicitly want those AI-summaries as their answers, and this at least exposes what was used to create the answer.

This is tough to swallow for most of us - I hate this crap except for a minority of ultra-narrow use cases - but the general population of users loves AI. They want more of it.

This right here. It’s one of those situations where always asking the company to “Just listen to your users, ez, lol!” results in something that, surprisingly, quite a few people dislike.

Because yes, I’d say Most People™️ actively like AI-generated stuff, and of course there are valid use cases (like summarizing text and video content, the latter even helping with accessibility). But this in turn means that if a company listens to user input, they will shove AI into their products even if they would otherwise not be looking at doing it.

Finally the German AfD is getting the kick-more-people-out-from-Germany they always ask for! Themselves!

Not at all, they can still require apps to be signed, so long as you’re free to allow app installations. They’ll weasel out by saying the signing is for safety/security reasons, to avoid malware and shit.

I did a lot of thinking about this over the years (not the youngest one anymore) and I will say that I think my personal limit would be at ~10 mil. Beyond that, I fail to comprehend what amount of money I have. I can comprehend 1 mil, which means I can use in excess of that in some capacity, even pointlessly.

But 10 mil? That stops being an amount of cash, it’s just “Me rich nao”.

It’s been a long time since I came across matroska files in numbers, but this is pretty cool to have.
