Wow that was very cumbersome, this seems like a great update.

I don’t have a PS5 but how was it before?
Adding that extra file that takes care of everything related for anti cheat must be quite difficult for such a small team. /s
In games where combat uses the bumpers a lot I bind the back buttons to that. For the rest of the games it depends on the what I find annoying to do repeatedly and end up mapping that to a back paddle.
For example on Breath of the Wild the back paddle was run which allowed me to run with one hand.
I’ve had the opposite experience, Steam Link app loses packets frequently and Moonlight works so smooth that you barely notice it’s streaming. I’m running Linux under Wayland so that could definitely be a factor.
Playing Sekiro is how I broke the left and right bumpers in my Steam Controller for the first time. Now I’m using the back paddles because those bumpers are wat too flimsy.
It ended up being a bad call but at the time Android only had 2 years in the market and trusting the leading OS company to manufacture a proper mobile product wasn’t a crazy idea. Microsoft just completely mismanaged the whole phone thing and took down Nokia with it.
If I remember correctly the approach was so anti-google that you couldn’t even watch youtube on Windows Phones.
Helldivers 2 works on Linux even with the anti cheat unlike Valorant so there must be some differences there.
This is either the final nail on the coffin for playing league on linux or it will motivate linux devs to figure out a way around it. I don’t play league but I did enjoy playing TFT with friends always on Linux.
I play this game exclusively on Linux without issues so the anticheat doesn’t seem that intrusive. Could be my perception of it though.
I wonder if this is why my monitor’s brightness was acting up and dimming by itself. I just thought it was time to upgrade the monitor. Haven’t seen the issue in a few days so maybe it’s fixed.
I remember setting up a TeamSpeak server back in 2012 before Discord took over. Worked for us at the time.
It’s the Index but don’t expect a seamless experience on Linux. SteamVR 2 is a hit or miss with Linux since it’s not a priority. Other devs have come up with solutions such as Envision which uses Monado but I haven’t had the time to set that up.
I’ve been streaming Helldivers 2 to the Steam Deck too. It’s amazing as long as you have a good router.
It’s been a while but if I remember correctly Terraria instead of using the default gamepad config it took advantage of all the controls on the Steam Deck for a unique and pleasant experience.
I once played Terraria for more than 5 hours on battery and it still had battery leftover.
EndeavorOS with KDE is basically steamOS without restrictions. I’ve been running it fine for years.
Wasn’t this an actual product a few years ago?
They should’ve waited until they could release something in the form factor of the Viture XR glasses. They could’ve probably figured out how to wirelessly show a Vision OS rendered by the iPhone or MacBook to some small form factor glasses.
Instead they release a VR headset with pass through video that most people won’t really want to wear in public.
