Do you have an AMD gpu? I’m running Nvidia GPU using windows 11 and I’m hesitant because I’ve heard people say that Nvidia poses problems.

PIA was also purchased by the Israeli company, Kape Technologies, which is tied to Unit 8200. If your concern is privacy, I would recommend do against it.
The very first CEO of Crossrider, Koby Menachemi, happened to be once a part of Unit 8200 which is an Israeli Intelligence Unit in their military and has also been dubbed as “Israel’s NSA “.

The sooner you realize that the call is coming from inside the house, the better. We’re dealing with a revived KKK and a government that openly supports them. These people are very capable of running their own psyops.

Isn’t this similar to what Google and the Pentagon are trying to accomplish with Project Maven? I believe Palantir, Amazon and Microsoft are also part of it.
Meredith Whittaker (president of Signal) talks about one aspect of it, Signature Strikes

Thanks, I had no idea of the severity. I wonder if they’ll be able to fix it.
I convinced my fiance to switch over to GOS because I’ve had moderate success with it for about a year now. So of course this happens as soon as she made the switch. Now she’s talking about getting an iPhone.

I thought the RCS thing was also happening on stock Android? Wasn’t it more of a carrier thing?
You can bet that with nearly two decades of data, other companies like Facebook and Twitter are doing the same. You can also bet that companies like Palantir are working to build files on each person that aggregates their data across all social media as well as other surveillance metrics. As Meredith Whitaker explains, this leads to some pretty frightening possibilities such as “signature strikes”

That’s the point of the original post though. Google is starting to make development of these custom ROMs more difficult. If Google ever decided to lock down the bootloader for new Pixels, Graphene would be in a world of hurt. I also use GrapheneOS and love it, but who knows if it will be alive two or three years from now.
I bought a Flint 2 GL-MT6000 and I’ve been pretty happy with the choice.
Side note: Flint 3 just came out, but I’m not familiar enough with it to recommend.
I’m a pretty big generative AI hater when it comes to art and writing. I don’t think generative AI can make meaningful art because it cannot come up with new concepts. Art is something that AI should be freeing up time in our lives for us to do. But that’s not how it’s shaping up.
However, AI is very helpful for understanding codebases and doing things like autocompletion. This is because code is less expressive than human language and it’s easier for AI to approximate what is necessary.
Yep, anyone who assumes that the presence of a .cursor directory automatically means that:
Is either arguing in bad faith or has no idea what they’re talking about.
It could be something as simple as one dev trying out cursor (an editor thats literally just a vscode fork with ai features) and accidentally committing their .cursor directory (really easy to do).

I think they know that most people will eventually give in (or accidentally say yes) if they have to close a notification every time they want to do something.
Like you, I aim not to be “most people.”
Did you read the article?
This isn’t some random company using azure to host an app. This is Microsoft dedicating a team of engineers to write a custom version of its software to track people on behalf of a genocidal government.

Also, could it be a 'the call is coming from inside the house " situation?
I think this is far more likely than China, North Korea, Iran or Russia having a sudden interest in St Paul Minnesota (a city that most people in the US don’t even think about).
Who benefits more from the crippling of city-level liberal governments and stealing their data, Trump or China? If we see ICE conducting surgical raids within St Paul in the coming months, I think we’ll have our answer.

Wouldn’t some sort of proxy in between the bucket and the client app solve this problem? I feel like you could even set up an endpoint on your backend that manages the upload. In other words, why is it necessary for the client app to connect directly with the bucket?
Maybe I’m not understanding the gist of the problem

For sure. Zionism itself is very anti-Semitic for that reason.
I was correcting a typo in the post above.

Zionism is not anti-semitism for a very simple reason, being against the apartheid state of Israel and its genocide of Palestinians has nothing to do with being against Jews or Judaism. They are seperate concepts period, end of story.
Judging by the rest of your comment, I think you meant anti-zionism is not anti-semitism.
With that said, I agree wholeheartedly.

Yep, everything is politics whether we like it or not.
I’ve always wondered if this sort of tech could scale to 5g towers for mass surveillance purposes
Yeah, it’s a 40 series GPU, so pretty new. That’s encouraging. Maybe I will try dual booting first.
