No, no it doesn’t only have to be for gaming! I know people on Lemmy are much more tech-oriented and it’s really interesting to hear how y’all are handling storage.

It’s a budget prebuilt gaming desktop I bought in 2020-2021. My computer had suddenly died and graphic cards seemed to have all evaporated. Even prebuilts with 30 series were out of order nearby. But there was one stock left with Ryzen 5 3600 and 2060 in Best Buy ~1hr away and I happily bought it. It only came with 500GB SSD, but I have 2x1TB external HDD so it was enough space for me until it wasn’t😭
But are PC fans supposed to go this crazy? Only created a character + play for few min before going to sleep, but during that time I thought my PC was having a seizure. lol
I just recently moved to a rural-ish place and Internet is really slow here:'( I thought I could quickly download&install the game in an hour and play for few hours in a nice Sunday evening, but the universe told me no😭
Thank you, I’ll order 2TB SSD tomorrow. I also have never played BG before, but I heard so much praise and am so hyped to play it!!
I’ve been writing on reMarkable(eink tablet) for ~2 years and it completely replaced pen&paper for me. It’s so nice to have one device with all my handwritten notes that can be turned into text and PDFs on which I can scribble annotations. Defintely recommend eink tablets(reMarkable, Supernote, Amazon Scribe, Boox, etc)
I appreciate you posted this, tho. I realized my custom filter from Adguard was completely broken(haven’t checked or updated for a long time) and had to readd new ones.
Aww! My dog used to sleep on my shoes when he was a baby but he stopped doing that at some point(not sure if I should be happy or sad).
When one of the worst serial murder case in South Korea was unsolved for 30ish years, until the criminal, Lee choonjae, was caught in 2019.
I grew up hearing about these horrible murders and it was really agitating imagining the murderer being loose out there, enjoying their life.
There was a Korean movie named Memories of Murder(same director with Parasites) which was inspired by this, and it also ended with criminal not getting caught.
So it was really shocking to hear that he was finally caught after all those years. Ironically he was already in jail serving life sentence for rape and murder.
From what I understand, the reason why it took so long to catch him wasn’t because he was a 4D chess genius, but because South Korea lacked scientific methods for approaching criminal cases during that time, and also because DNA database of prisoners didn’t exist until 2010s.
Interesting thing is, another infamous Korean serial killer, Yoo Youngchul, said before the case was solved, that the murderer must be already dead or in jail because serial killers can’t stop from murdering.
Beautiful cat!
