Got it, will do! :)

Got it, will do! :)

Just checked, it was backported to 0.19 as of June 3rd. Either something’s still broken or your instance is out of date, seemingly.

Apparently they’ve fixed it in what was the latest beta as of a couple months ago if I’m not mistaken, though I have no idea what version that is or how many instances are actually running it right now.

Copy/pasting from my reply to another comment asking the same thing:
Generally just misc. stuff that interests me. Tech, a whole ton of chinafakes, and some other stuff every so often. Pretty “old YouTube” style with minimal editing, and the content IMO feels more “personal”. If you like ashens and/or autistic infodumping you’ll probably like my stuff. :)

since my channels likely haven’t been viewed from your instance before, it’s not showing any of my existing uploads. you should just be able to paste the community addresses into your lemmy search bar, and then follow them like ordinary communities. If nothing happens even when I’ve posted a video, your instance might be too out-of-date. you can feel free to remain followed and once your instance is upgraded everything should work as intended. :)
I believe there is, only available to instance mods, community mods, and possibly the OP though if I’m not mistaken.
We need to get some moderators in here. Lots of bigotry in this comment section…
There’s always Ungoogled Chromium. If you do want to suggest Brave to people, please tell them about these downsides as well.
I use Vivaldi and it is great. It does send a “user count” to its servers but AFAIK that is literally just increasing a number in a database, effectively the equivalent of one of those free hit counters you’d put on your GeoCities page.
It’s sort of ridiculous at this point the lengths they’re willing to go.

Windows is at least relatively un intrusive with that stuff, MacOS often makes hidden metadata files with the same extension as the files they store info about
I installed an old program the other day that added a Thumbs.db file from 2008 to every folder containing images as it extracted the program files to disk.
And this is why I’ve never touched anything AI related

Definitely not Spotify and no Proton either, the owners of both of those are kinda dicks. I suggest looking for alternatives beyond them.

Fair, though that is a somewhat different scenario. I can completely disengage with .ml and still participate in other instances, and the developers don’t get any support from that.

Good recommendation algorithms don’t change the fact that the platform is owned by someone who is actively staging a coup
Hmm, then your instance is probably out of date… /nm
