I thought Arch was notorious for breaking all the time? Is that a specific version of Arch?

I’ve bounced off GitHub more than once trying to figure out how to download the .exe file that I assumed must be somewhere. Honestly I still don’t understand the interface and I’ve submitted bug reports for Jeroba on there. I might have even used GitHub for a project once? Every time I look at it it’s overwhelming and confusing and none of it is self-explanatory. But, that’s fairly true for a lot of stuff in programming.
I couldn’t find any information as to why, but playing around with other symbols suggests it only does it with symbols where they assume the space isn’t supposed to be there. E.G. Colon, ending parenthesis, equals sign, etc. Digging around in the settings I couldn’t find any option to disable this functionality.
Folks elsewhere suggested switching to the Swype keyboard, but I don’t have personal experience with it in a very long time so I don’t know anything about the settings and automatic behavior.
Okay but that’s actually still pretty cool. I love seeing all the weird stuff that didn’t make it to today to feel normal.
There’s a few places that didn’t get cars until later and “no thank you” was a very common reaction. We really ought to just ban private ownership.
I have been wanting one of these things for so fucking long. I can’t wait!
They don’t track you.

We only run “context-based” ads, meaning that they are selected as a function of your search term. If you search for “green bank” you likely are interested in green banking ads.
Google and Bing itself operate very differently. They do what critics call “surveillance-based” advertisements. Before serving you an ad they might look at what you searched for in the past, what emails you wrote, which videos you watched, and what you bought with your credit card. They probably are also taking your search terms in order to influence what banner advertisements to show you in their office products or elsewhere.
I use Ecosia which is a reskin of bing that plants trees with your search results. I’ve never had any issues with low quality results, but maybe we have different ideas of what that means.
Yes correct, sorry if that was confusing.
Being rich literally makes you delusional.
If you still have an account and want to do some good with r/place your can join the effort to advertise r/EndFPTP
You vastly over estimate the willingness of people to learn how a computer works.
You can switch back to 3 and 2 button navigation in the settings if you want. I use the 3 button navigation. I use all three buttons.
I think it’s their way of admitting gestures is stupid. Gestures makes it unclear where the OS UI ends and where the app UI begins. A completely shit idea.
In all my life I’ve only experienced one UI overhaul that I considered an improvement, and even then there were a few specific features that were a step backwards, even by proper design standards (the same action did two different things in only slightly different scenarios.)
Buuiuuuut I know half the time it’s just because I’m used to the old way, only the other half is it some corporate bullshit trying to push a feature no one asked for.
