You missed the point (and i should have perhaps been clearer), the chap was saying “no navy”, i am pointing out that suicide drones are still part of that navy and Ukrainians had 15000 personal at the start of the war in the navy.

You really gotta count how many cheap boat Ukrainians lost trying to sink 60 ships. Ofc they (suicide boats) are much, much, much cheaper and cause no crew casualties being remotely controlled. So it is super cost effective, And most importantly safe, but if you count pure numbers i am sure Ukrainian losses of those boats are massively higher.
But the fact that russians can still use their missles ships to launch missiles is a big issue. Even if there are fewer of those ships, its not 0 :(… Yet

It likely was an attempt to get more people out of rent into home ownership (as home owners are more likely to vote conservative here) but what they failed to predict is that people would then resell on open market at higher cost when demand was high.
No just own musings, no mainstream political party in uk would pick it up
This has been tried in UK for council properties where the tenant has the right to buy. It was introduced by conservatives back last century 1980s) and has led to decimation of council housing stock needed for housing homeless and those or low incomes.
Objectively it ended up being a terrible policy for renters now.
A better way forward is to ensure there are no private and corporate landlords and only local councils are allowed to provide homes for rent. This ensuring local rent controls and stock.
Debatable, its population is more than 10 smaller than Ukraine, much smaller area. Its easier to blitzkrieg through it. But even a protracted grind war they won’t be as close to friendly nato countries who can supply fast and active armed forces is under 50k. That would include non-front line roles. So another exercise of 2-300k conscripts maybe push through if they have enough vehicles to carry ammo.
But yes they are busy elsewhere atm. curiously armenia seems to have 400 main battle tanks and 200 ifvs so perhaps can offer decent resistance for a few days if they work/have ammo
Special military operation Invasion in… 3… 2…

Loving the cat photo tax!
Plex user here, you install app on your receiver (tv/tablet/phone/whatever) and if you so desire you can host local content via plex server running on a machine on your network. Not used it as a home screen though, as i avoid paid players.
Doesn’t that still dhow up on your last 3 active games list?
Proton is very gaming on Linux friendly, i main on Linux for a few decades now and had about 3-4 games not work. So i wouldn’t worry about that, however lightroom (and i assume the rest of adobe suit) is out. Couldn’t find a way to install it sensibly at all. Which is unfortunate. The backup for this for me was to use an old android tablet and sometimes id use the work mac out of hours to do some post-processing.
But the rest doesn’t matter much, i personally like Manjaro but the distro doesn’t really matter.
Are they just late for 1st of April?
So just how much ammunition do we have, keep in mind both Russians and Chinese have militatries well over a million soldiers, thousands of tanks and other ivf. How many anti tank weapons does NATO have left? How many himars missiles? And if we do have this stock, why are we not giving it to Ukraine and repying on purchasing shells half way around the world and even then making promised to pay for it but forking over nothing yet?
They need our help now, not tomorrow. This makes me wonder just how much stock of ammunition do we have for all those high tech toys.
This exactly, if you believe that the enemy is completely incompetent, you will get stung by that. Look at the reality of war, lack of ammunition means all those high end toys are stuck doing nothing. Look in which direction yhe front is going.
NATO is left buying ammunition from non eu countries for Ukraine when they need it 6 months ago, would that be happening if we had stockpiles of the stuff for ourselves? Just how much is left for NATO to use for self defense?
Burner phone when you travel to authoritarian countries is a must…
Thats why i said, they are amazing value for money. But sould be interesting to know just how many boats it takes to take out 60 or so ships
