I had a boss back in the day that I had a really good rapport with, and he would jokingly call me Shrek because I was almost a foot taller than he was. I also worked in a lot of restaurants in my late teens to early twenties and found a love for cooking that has never really gone away.

Last election was in 2019, and they’re usually every 5 years. The next one has to be set for no later than January 2025, but could be earlier than that.

At a local Italian place called Ozzie’s, they used to have a crab pasta that is easily my favorite dish from any restaurant I’ve ever been to (like lick the plate good). They took it off the menu about 15 years ago, and I was so devastated that I think I actually felt my soul leave my body when the waiter told me. He had to give me a few minutes to mourn, and to this day I still feel sad/hopeful when I go back in and look at the menu. Fuck. Now I’m sad again.

Asking out of ignorance, but why would no party ever be able to win a majority? Are there just too many parties to allow for one to have that much control?

An actual faithful adaptation of I Am Legend. It’s a short as hell book and could easily be adapted almost word for word and still be a reasonably short movie. Hollywood had multiple swings at it without even bothering to try and get the main story arc or the ending right (and no, I don’t think the Will Smith alternate ending was good).

I mean, that’s pretty dang cool looking. At least some artist (likely group of them) got paid to make something neat even if it’s commercial in nature.

The latter.

Bloodborne. I gave up on 3 separate times, even after loving previous Dark Souls games. Gave it a 4th and final try, then didn’t stop until I got the platinum trophy. I don’t know that it’s my favorite souls game, but it left me the most satisfied when I finally finished it. Love that game and wish it would get the same remaster treatment that Demon Souls got.
