I thought it was Billy Corgan
Previous articles linked on here before said the top search engine result was chatgpt.
My comment still stands. There is an algorithm being used to give you the search engine result. What we need is a human curator for this sort of stuff. Not data analysis.
Why are we relying on algorithms and AI to tell us facts now? Why dont these companies have curated information for set subjects, as this is how conspiracy crap kicks off in this day and age!?
You can set up a solar panel or small wind turbine to pump electric into an element thats installed in a home radiator. On winter days where there is more sun light than sun heat it produces heat through the resistance of the element and warms the water within. A few people on youtube have made videos on this.
I still have an old laptop running v16 Ubuntu iirc. Basically using it as a sort of media centre.
Fricker reviewed a few free ones (and cab/IR vsts) in the past. Look up Emissary and NadIR.
All the advertisers abandoning them again. Musk threatening everyone with lawsuits again. A fair few media companies leaving the site over antisemitism and racism (rhetorical question -why does it take so long?).
Getting their tactics in whilst all the attention is on Twitter…
🤷♂️
I asked a couple of women at work about this and they said “perv” too, so I dont know. Miniminuteman does content shorts blasting poeple for similar beliefs but they’re mostly guys, so I dont think its fair to say its a women only thing.
I do also think its wise for academics not to avoid socials as thats where the misinformation is spreading these days.
I really prefer the longer videos as he cites sources too.
Thanks for the reply!
This is the problem with bikes. When the car dominated it lead to bikes being a sport thing only. My Grandfather rode a bicycle everywhere. To the shops, to his mates, to the pub, definitely to work (he said the gates opened at 5pm and all the bikes rolled out into the road). He also smoked like a fucking chimney. Everyone did back then. So no, the problem is not environmentalists having unreasonable expectations on the human body, its modern people having become lazy and weak - even to the point where they wont investigate how people used to get by.
Cyclists have been telling the media and the public this for 50 years (we used to have electric milkfloats here in the UK in the 1960s to 1990s). And they were demonised and gaslit for it.
“Nooooo… eat them first!!!”
