  • Just got an email from proton today about their “lifetime deal” for proton pass I currently use bitwarden and Firefox relay but I’ve been debating trying to drop my Gmail account and switch everything to my proton account. Thinking it would be silly to pay Firefox $12 a year just for relay when I can get that and more from proton for the same price.

All of that to say how exactly does the email alias work and can I set a custom email subdomain to just have an alias get created whenever an email is sent to the email I give someone without me having to go manually create it?

  • No worries. From what I can see in the forums they approve you for the IP you will using to download everything. If you aren’t on that IP then downloads will be blocked. More specifically I think your browser and torrent client must have the same IP but like I said I don’t know much about how VPNS work as I’ve never really used one.

Couple forum posts. The single one is from a moderator and also the person who did my interview to get into the website. That also ended up having to change VPN providers to get someone who would let them stick with a more static IP address.

If you are still interested I’d highly recommend showing up during one of the days they have registration. Can talk to them about it during the interview to get your invite and they would have way more knowledge and information about it.

  • So I got this set up tonight and holy shit. A little confusing at first and currently only available when I’m at home but that’s fine since I can download them like I normally do anyway. But holy shit. It’s Plex for audiobooks. I’m sure there is more for me to do but I’m blown away just from start.

Only question I still have it how the hell did I get the ebooks… I don’t think I have those downloaded but I can just open the ebook right from the audiobook page.

  • Yeah just like ea and ubi games. You can buy them on steam but when you launch them it opens the respective launcher and then launches. I just did it with rocket League the other day because I have it on steam but I put some old parts together for daughter to have her own PC and you can only get rocket league through epic. So I installed the added it to steam so she can launch it right from there.

  • Back in the day I had rules and filters to put all my emails into folders and shit that I could go through whenever and kept my actual inbox just important shit. Then Google came out with inbox and it was so much better than normal Gmail and I made the switch. Problem was it didn’t play jive with all my rules and filters so I turned them all off and apparently deleted them. When they discontinued inbox it fucked my email all sorts of up and it’s never been the same.
