You’re trying, and that’s more than anyone could have asked for. To love is to mourn. It’s hard to open up a part of yourself, knowing it could hurt you later, but you’re doing it, and no matter what happens, you’ve made a difference. Good luck.

Dunno if this helps you at all, but I’ve been using BitWarden to manage my passwords since I made the switch from Chrome to Firefox (both on PC and my Android phone). It doesn’t fill passwords automatically in either case, but it’s not much extra work to invoke BitWarden to fill those fields as-needed on either device, and it works very consistently. It’s also (I’m told) much more secure. Just thought I’d share that here!
I live real close to the house he lived in when he was a kid. There’s even a “Riders on the Storm Inn” here in town… 😌 I don’t know a lot about the man that he was and I’m too young to have seen The Doors play, though I really enjoy “People Are Strange,” and a few other songs of theirs. I’m glad he found a way out of this place, though, even if it was only for a short time.
The only thing I like more than a good cat picture on the Internet, is a good cat picture with a good cat story on the Internet. Animals are great, especially cats. And these are some especially good ones! Thanks for sharing.
Billy Joel - She’s Always a Woman
She hides like a child but she’s always a woman to me == a weasel-woman to me

This is exactly it for me. Everything else was really enjoyable – but then it just suddenly ends. There’s no freeplay after completing the main story. They went so far as to show a text warning, stating the game is about to end, and you have to confirm to proceed. After that, the only way back in is to load a previous save. I really wanted that unstructured exploration time, like you get after finishing the main story in Skyrim/Fallout/etc.
!Also, I think the “slideshow” style presentation for the ending contributed to this problem. A nice cinematic ending would have had way more weight and felt less tacked-on for me.!<
For what it’s worth, I agree with you about Lemmy (and Reddit) not really qualifying as “social media.” I think of it more as a spectrum than a binary value…
And just to split hairs even a little more, I think Lemmy is more palatable* than Reddit for me, by virtue of the smaller (and generally more tech-savvy) user base.
E: Spelling (thank you, WelcomeBear!)
Possibly because it’s an overused, hyperbolic and mostly meaningless word, that really only serves to amplify the rage-bait component of a click-bait headline.
That’s why it bothers me, anyway.
No rea$on at all, except for that one little rea$on that we alway$ $eem to keep coming back to…
