They probably sell them dirt cheap domestically, no need for coercion

It gets more hate because it’s owned by a Chinese company that more than likely shares data with the CCP. I assume you live in a western nation, so it’s basically the result of propaganda. Perhaps it’s warranted, perhaps not, but that’s why.
It’s ironic because everyone flips out that China is vacuuming up information, as if the US government isn’t doing the same thing. If you think the US govt snoops that data only to keep you safe, I have a bridge to sell you.
This was for bootloader locking, not carrier locking. But yeah, they want you to buy their bullshit hotspot plan instead of just using the data you already pay for.
Oh there’s a reason. Hotspot bypass being a big one I’d wager, the other being making it significantly harder to avoid ads
Must’ve been asleep for the recall shenanigans
I know Hulu has an annual billing option where they won’t prorate your bill if you cancel mid term, but I don’t know if there are any that just flat out won’t let you cancel.
“Ohh, I don’t have one of those”
Imo that’s pretty much the only benefit these days. But I’m also waiting for those 1 year, 2 year, etc “deals” where they offer $1/mo off or something
Especially at the prices the bill comes out to be. I had a day years ago where my car was in the shop, so I used one of them to get lunch. A $10 sandwich ended up costing me $30, and some people do this every day. Fuck avocado toast (which is delicious), this is why people are broke.
Uh, huh? I take some trips here and there, don’t work from home, but I’ve never had spiders make up a web between the tp and wall, and I live in the mountains where those dudes are everywhere.
I mean, you were given eyes for a reason. Also, how often do you go to the bathroom that warrants enough time for a spider to build a web??
Lol the fact that you think someone presenting a different opinion means they represent anyone is silly, stop perpetuating the politics = sports teams mentality
Problem is that people are essentially brainwashed to cheer in favor of oppressive policy. It should be a crime to make misleading claims or statements, but, such is the world of advertising and marketing.
Ah, he’s a troll, now it makes sense. Haven’t really run in to many of them here lol
Doesn’t help when those who write the laws are on the take.
That said, as difficult as it is these days, avoid all of these company’s products like the plague.
I don’t believe you’re this dense. It’s a fucking tag so people know that something may not be appropriate for everyone to see when you’re in public, it has absolutely nothing to do with censorship. Pull your head out of your ass.
Hi back.
You realize NSFW stands for Not Safe For Work, and that most of us read that as basically be careful opening in public, yeah? A number of people have quite conservative bosses that probably wouldn’t appreciate someone looking at even slightly risque images in the workplace, or sitting next to someone on public transit that might cause a stink.
It’s just a common courtesy.
Won’t do anything until it is hooked back to the internet
Yeah, I’ve seen it on some Samsungs and LGs that get real pissy when the TV itself isn’t online. I’ve also heard of some brands (that I don’t remember atm) that won’t even let you go through the initial setup without a connection.
We have closed the loop, officially coming full circle. And what an absolute shocker, Comcast is right smack in the middle of it.
