What’s the alternative though?
It sets precedent. You could extend that on anything. Doesn’t make the German pay or piss yourself thing any better though.
[Installing software] will still be possible but the apps themselves will need to be signed by the developer through Google, so Google ultimately still controls what can be installed. Maybe someone will crack it.
Fixed that for you :-)
I didn’t like the old look much. The new one is a bit clearer even though the ratings part is way too wide imho and could be combined with other information. That way one would have to scroll less too.
I use a wire guard tunnel into my Fritz box and from there I just log in because I’m in my local network.
It synchronizes with CalDAV, you need DAVx⁵ though.
I’m a native German speaker but never heard ‘Abschreckungsbeispiel’. But ‘abschreckendes Beispiel’ is quite common.
There is a (mean) saying: -Niemand ist unnütz, er kann immer noch als abschreckendes Beispiel dienen ’ - No one is useless, they can still be a bad example.
Just today I stumbled upon my first playlist with ‘More’. Good to know.
Ok, but it’s a quote.
Imho most important quote:
But I have to be honest, as someone who is not fully immersed in the financial markets, the chart pattern reading kinda strikes me as astrology for guys in suits. Like, because the line displays a pendant shape, that means it’s primed to break out? What does that even mean?
Rode my bike to work in 2012 in Brisbane. Drivers actively hated me for existing and I was really happy when the job ended because I genuinely feared for my life and was almost driven over during my last week. I was seemingly the only one peddling my bike just for transportation.
That said: I’m not surprised car is king in Brisbane.
I’m using a Garmin watch with Gadget Bridge from f-droid. Works well even though I don’t like the app’s look that much.
The EU will attempt […] to take the US’s place as the World Hegemon, […].
What makes you think that?
Works with librewolf.
Logging in works with your tip (–cookies-from-browser [browser]:[profile] for anyone interested but I get a 403 error, sigh… Apparently all that remains is waiting for an update fixing the problem.
Unfortunately it’s not working right now because yt-dlp fails to login. But great thanks anyway!
One thing I really like is that you can block whole instances. For example I don’t care about anime so I blocked ani.social instead of having to block every comunity ralted to anime which will be hostet on ani.social anyway.
WeChat is like the absolute dystopian nightmare. If you are for whatever reason excluded from this service you are basically fucked in Chinese Society.
Links like that feel like the time I first had access to the Internet. Kinda weird but very very interesting. Thank you.
Yeah, I’m very interested in those devices but they don’t seem to live up to most users’ expectations? But since there’s still time maybe there will be Linux phones that may suit as a daily driver.
