Dont know if this helps,but on the f-droid store (open source app store), there is an app called spotiflyer, that downloads musicfiles from spotify as mp3.
Whats normal and whats highspeed in your case? I consider Them for my daily way to work but go rather fast (25km/h to 30) cause its a long way to go…
Unrelated to the question but on the picture:
The AI nicely drew a german city but … put the naziflag on the ships Rather than the current german flag.
Yeah but they switched back to Windows in 2017 for no reason. :( some Bad rumors say it had to do with Microsoft building its headquater in munich 2016. But no one knows if the decision to build it in munich is indeed related to the switch back to. Windows.
Thats so cool! Thanks. :)
I thought so, and also because of that try not to buy overseas and generally buy second Hand and local, but still its terrible to hear that it is indeed this way. :/
I dont know if you enjoy singing , but in many countries here in Europe, there are lots of choirs for all types of music, as well as for beginners, for almost professionals and usually all ages mixed or lots of people above 40. Usually people go for a drink after rehearsal but not for the alcohol but for the company. In my choir many that come to the bar after rehearsal just drink something nonalcoholic.
Here, 40 is also an age where people still go to bars without feeling weird about it. Of course there are a few bars only full of Students but there are still lots of bars with people above 40 too.
Try onlyoffice: https://www.onlyoffice.com/
I think libreoffice has more functions, but is a bit confusing at the beginning and sadly quite ugly. So if you belong to those who cannot work in ugly environments, and use office for simple and small documents onlyoffice is perfect. It looks better and is closer to word…
In german I can find lots of articles from trustworthy newspapers, but in English my short research only found this article from the telegraph. Dont know if this is a good newspaper but what they speak of is the same I read in German newspapers. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2023/09/28/tesla-amputation-union-germany-grnheide-injured-burns-cars/
German news:
https://www.tagesschau.de/wirtschaft/unternehmen/tesla-gruenheide-arbeitsunfaelle-umwelt-100.html
https://www.zeit.de/news/2023-09/28/schwere-arbeitsunfaelle-und-umwelt-havarien-in-tesla-fabrik
Two days before there was news about the giga factory close to Berlin where they produce batteries for tesla. Its incredibly unsafe to work there. Other German car factory have 2/3 less accidents and less severe ones. The article was really alarming. Everyone spoke about it. Then followed the x about the afd. Now everyone speaks about that. Smart move. Please let’s speak about people almost dying in those factories again!
Then I misinterpreted you. I read unfortunately there are no Google alternatives except for browser and thought you would be happy to hear there are alternatives. Especially since you mentioned Google android. And I am so happy using degoogelt android… sorry for misunderstanding.
Google Search -> Duckduckgo
Google Android -> Graphene OS, Callyx OS, Lineage (all are more or less degoogelt android. the former 2 really easy to install. Havent tried lineage for a while)
Google drive -> nextcloud
Google maps -> open streetmap (osmand+, organic maps etc) and for navigation with live updates magic earth
Google mail -> proton mail, posteo, …
Chrome -> firefox
What else do you use from Google?
In the past years all these non Google products have evolved a lot. 10years ago one needed to be a nerd and spend a lot of time to implement all this but now its really easy to switch, user interfaces and documentations improved a lot.
Piano as well. I don’t write my own music, but love to play with the old ones like playing really fast or slow or loud or … sadly I am not of good in improvising on the piano but with singing its fine.
Edit: typo
Playing an instrument. Not on stage for others but at home all by myself just for myself. :)
I agree and still don’t have a solution. I read a lot of news and I like to read different views on the same topic, like reading a very leftish and a very conservative article. But I just cant pay all of them. :/
My idea was to pay two different newspapers (one for daily news the other a monthly magazine) so that I pay at least some journalists and read the rest for free. And then change whom I am paying every year or two. For this I need antipaywall to still read the rest…
Now with some friends we have subscriptions to different newspapers and share them, but usually u have a fixed amount of devices you can connect to one subscription so more than 3 newspapers is difficult already.
I really liked this flattr idea but I think it died. It was something like you give an amount of money every month to your flattr account and then when you read articles and you liked them you press the flattr button.l at the end of the article. At the end of the month flatttr would distribute your money among all sites that you clicked the bottom with the amount corresponding to how many articles you liked… very good idea. But died(?) with paywalls.
I am also german. Of course not everyone here cares about privacy, but in average much more people than in other countries I would say. But the “average german” uses FB and WhatsApp. However, many like me never had them installed.
I think it’s because of our recent history full of spying secret services (Nazis and east germany) and the education in family and in school about the history. My family is from East germany. The stasi (east german secret service) observed everyone they could with hidden microphones in private rooms, reading your lettters, force your friends to spy on you etc. So the people that raised me are very aware of spying… From my grandparents and parents stories I cared about privacy from the beginning. My parents also used Linux since I remember them using computers and gave us phones with lineage etc… …
Dont know for UK, but here in Germany they sell two versions. One with nikotin and one with just flavored Vape. This one is of course allowed for teens and they love to vape and feel as cool smokers. When they become 18 (with 18 you are adult and allowed to smoke) they just go on with the nikotin variant. This company is so evil… Making teens psychologically addicted to then add nikotin.
