Hot damn, now I want both! This thread is not healthy for my purse…
My god I so much want one now. My Unihertz Jelly Star starts showing its age and this looks like the perfect replacement

Shipping them in multiple pieces and reassembling them on-site won’t work because the joints would create weak spots.
Not qualified to have any opinion on this topic, but from a laymans perspective that sounds like an easier problem to solve than developing a gargantuan steel T-Rex with wings just for deployment of blades?
This is the vibe I wanna see lol

Germans are conquering again? Uh-oh.
Diese Kommentarsektion ist jetzt Eigentum der Aldirepublik Deutschland.

For anyone wondering: It’s about methyl cellulose and it’s derivatives and siblings.
Not sure about sync but Feeder is what I use

I’ve used a solution in the past looking like this:
/dev /sdb1 EFI
/dev/sdb2 FAT
put grub on the efi partition, and let it chainload any iso I choose from sdb2

Office suite. People are so heavily locked in and have been MS brainwashed for basically since the dawn of office suites. Building an alternative and mass adopting it requires removing entire generations of boomers and aging millenials from their basic work tools. I’m not talking about our lemmy tech alt filter bubble. I’m talking about the people who panic they “deleted the internet” when they accidentally remove Chrome from their home screen.
To be honest, the standard Apple wired dirty buds are quite fine. according to reviews they seem to have a very good amp and their sound is very good too. You’ll pay a bit of Apple tax, though, they cost around 20 €.

polar ice caps and a gigantic dome? Sounds a bit like the wet dream of a flat earther
Ah shit. Found it on fucking Faceb**k and thought it would fit with the vibe (pun intended) here.

25 %? They’ll gladly take that. Manufacturing in the US of A would surely cost them more than triple of what it is currently. Just think of the battery production, cutting edge chips, screens. One does not simply move that to another country.

Lol, that kind of is a thing already in rural areas of germany. They go by beautiful names like RufBus and AnrufSammelTaxi and are provided by several state owned public transportation companies in low passenger areas/times of day. Usually, it’s an additional 2 € per drive on top of the transportation ticket you need to have/buy.
Instant dowload. Very nice facebook client for the niche things I need to resort to Zucks’ advertising machine. Lets just hope nobody steals my credentials, not that tey’re worth too much lol.

Phonograph Plus is a nice music player app. I’ve been using it for many years now. GPLv3.

Their update policy is pretty bad, but to be honest, nothing to complain for their price points. I guess they pretty much live by selling new devices regularly, because at their margings and with their tiny market, you’ll need volume by any means.
