Hmm, that was the screenshot from the community start. It includes the top pinned posts. Here’s when I scroll down.
These are miui shenanigans. You can disable chrome in settings and set different browsers as default on most other Roms like oneui, stock android, realmeui, etc. Last time I used miui, I decided never again.
The relevant part which was skipped unless you check the article
Plus some upgrade discounts, but both policies will only apply to customers in India.
I guess they used the auto suggest title feature where even the original article does not mention it. It’s mentioned in the subheading.
Yes, it would work with all android devices. Otherwise, it would be pointless.
No, he is changing infinity to a subscription model. That’s why it’s still working.
For some reason Youtube does the fastest and the most accurate voice recognition compared to the offline google Speech to Text. If they want to improve. Implement that in the Speech to Text app.
KeepassDX. The best password manager IMHO. It supports saving passwords, ability to open them with biometrics and is seamless and offline. I have been using it since 2019. Redreader for reddit provides the best offline reddit experience. Also using it since 2019. Personaldnsfilter, pretty much a fire and forget app. No setup required at all. These are some of my favorite apps and I have more.
They won’t need too. Chrome is the standard.
Firefox could get litigated for ad fraud and these trusted 3rd parties could block firefox from accessing the sites. It won’t work.

You can create a feature request on their github. Maybe, the dev considers it one day
Play Store has strict rules for apps with user generated content. You have to provide ways to block and report users/content to stay on the play store. Glider didn’t provide a way to automatically report things by the user as hacker news doesn’t provide one. So, google suspended it. Here’s the github issue if you are interested: https://github.com/Mosc/Glider/issues/83
Yeah you should. It installs fine on my android 13 device with same amount of ram. I think must be some black listing issue.
If you are using hacker news on mobile. I would recommend Glider. It’s a smooth hacker news client. Unfortunately, the dev had his app removed from the play store for reasons but you can access it from its github or fdroid.
It’s a site issue. I have the same issues when browsing the site from hermit lite apps.
Is there a non paywalled article somewhere? It asks for a sub the alternative asks for sign up and free trial.
