I don’t think you need to worry about that. My understanding is Bazzite was basically created because steamOS is/was really focused on the steam deck where Bazzite was more general PC support

Nice to see CachyOs!

Uh that just might be his full time job? Plenty of Linux is used in the business world with Azure and WSL
Not to get into politics but the whole point of Linux is about being open and used by anyone from anywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised to see various parts of the Linux kernel, drivers, etc developed/funded by people from Israel, Russia, and many many other countries.
Edit: the point of this message, this type of approach to your OS choice will ultimately result in throwing your PC in the trash if you dig deep enough.

I haven’t had any issues with mine, I do agree the power button is in a spot I would not have put it in. I’m running arch on mine. The factor laptops others mentioned look very high quality, prob will be my next if this laptop ever stops handling my needs.

I’m a big fan of the Hp Elitebooks, you can get them with AMD chips. Apple’s MacBooks are pretty much in a league of their own and you pay a premium for that! Have an m3 max for work that is incredible.

No that’s why I said I think it’s why he bought a president…

The worst part about all of this, is Tesla has backed themselves into a corner with their aggressive marketing. If additional sensors are required it will cost them billions in retrofitting all the teslas it’s already sold. Partially believe that’s why Elon bought Donald.

Because they don’t want their friend to die?
Maybe Mirotalksfu or galene?

The cloud provides incredible flexibility, scale, and reliability. It is expensive to have 3+ data centers with a datacenter staff. If the data center was such a great deal for the many 9s of reliability provided by the cloud, company’s would be shifting back in mass at this point

Haha it’s ridiculous and they are basically using the Apple model where they charge obscene amounts for just more memory. It will only last while they have their AI moat. That moat is under a multi-pronged attack and will eventually lose one way or another

Eh just get into the used pc parts market and upgrade to the 5090 when it is made obsolete by the 7090

Something I recently added that I’ve enjoyed is uptime Lima. It’s simple but versatile for monitoring and notifications.

The same boomers in power of the US are the same boomers that shipped American manufacturing to China… That will never return. They’re critiquing themselves right?
Also, American car companies barely manufacture any cars in the USA.

They cleaned every subpage off the site

Hey it’s just like EVs or any other new technologies. The enthusiasts or believers will dive in first and deal with all the complicated setups. If it is actually better, these enthusiasts will form a company or already be a company who will create a product that will dominate the industry because they have a better product. Valve is definitely setup to be that company with the funds and competitive reasons to compete with Microsoft (windows/xbox store vs steam store). Steam store is their money maker but they face risks from Microsoft. Luckily Microsoft has to be careful due to antitrust issues because of their size, ie, Apple Store.
Be a cheerleader, encourage these people to take the dive. If you’re hating on people who want their stuff to just work you’ll never grow to get the casual pc / gamer user. Change is hard, most people are not looking to tinker.
Infrastructure is just behind the curve in various parts of the world. I don’t own a house with a garage so I have no good way of charging at night. I have a dedicated parking spot as my neighbors do but who knows what it would cost to get power and an outdoor charger installed
The price for an EV in the US is absurd(the price of autos in general is absurd). Tesla is 100% not making a cheap EV to maintain their profit margins to keep stock price high. Go look at the average gross profit margin of an auto maker, Tesla is 2-3x that.
Ergonomics, forget the gaming gear and move into healthier computing. New office chair, standing desk, adjustable pneumatic monitor arms, fatigue mat, clean up wiring, vertical mouse ball, split keyboards, desk organizers. It never ends
