  • One way roads and split highways exist, but even on any typical divided road, you obviously can still drive the wrong way. Either way, you’re conpletely missing the point. That phrase is used as a way of saying that if literally everyone else disagrees with you, then it’s a lot more likely that you’re the one who is wrong.

In this case, autism really doesn’t have an “opposite”. neurodevelopment is incredibly complex, and while some aspect exist on a spectrum, others don’t. (and the traits or development patterns that do exist on a spectrum in this case exist mostly between autistic and allistic traits, not between autism and some “opposite” pattern.

And the other traits you mentioned exist on their own orthoganal axes.

  • Not in a relationship, but hypothetically yes, absolutely. I’d try go exert as much power as I could to make sure their rule is benevolent and try to convince them to create strong institutions that would become democratic after our deaths.

Now if my dictator gf started committing atrocities, I’d leave ASAP if I could do so safely. But I don’t think I would ever be dating the sort of person who would use that sort of power for evil.

  • Thanks for the reply.

I’m definitely keeping Arch on my PC, I was just wondering what is the best way to use it for both desktop and couch gaming. I do have an old steam link I could potentially use, but I don’t know how that would really work. (I think I’d need to keep my PC running 24/7 for a seamless experience), but otherwise I was thinking I’d probably use the compute stick or Pi as the HTPC and stream games from the PC, but again that sounds a bit clunky to me, although I could at least watch stuff without the main PC on. Thoughts?

My other takeaways from your reply are that:

    • It’s a good idea to separate out home assistant from everything else

    • Network stuff doesn’t have to be separate

I’ll also research using cloud DNS instead.
