Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Voyager users, what is on your blocked keywords list?
4·8 months agoI didn’t know this was a feature. There wouldn’t happen to be a way to do this but only for the subscription tab? Because I want to stay updated on politics but specifically want my subscriptions to be sanitized of them for when I need a break from thinking about the state of the world for awhile

I feel you tbh but be aware these aren’t normal or mentally healthy thoughts to be having even when things are this fucked

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•are you permanently banned off reddit? or do you just like lemmy more?
2·8 months agoBoth, I’m sure I could make a new account if I wanted but I don’t want to contribute to their dumpster fire of a website anymore anyway
I’m hesitant to buy one because weirdly enough he seems to be claustrophobic but I might try.

Technology@lemmy.world•Multiple Tesla vehicles were set on fire in Las Vegas and Kansas CityEnglish
30·9 months agoThe incident in Kansas City genuinely does sound like one just caught itself on fire.
In Kansas City, Police Captain Jacob Becchina said in a statement that an officer first observed smoke coming from a Cybertruck parked in a Tesla parking lot. “The officer used his fire extinguisher, however, KCFD was still needed as he could not put the fire out,” Becchina said. “The fire spread to a second Cybertruck parked next to the original burning one. The circumstances are under investigation, but preliminarily, the fire is being investigated for the potential of being an Arson.”

I love them. Being able to check my calendar events, email and grocery list at a glance is invaluable to me because if they weren’t right there on my homescreen I’d completely forget about them

Buy European@feddit.uk•Is starting massively pirating things the right thing to do?
41·9 months agoI’d argue it does more damage to directly contribute to triple A gaming companies by buying the crap they release than to abstain from paying for games altogether. People deserve to enjoy things without having to contribute to corporations to do so.
I know you’re probably referring mostly to indie developers though. The thing is that this feels like a moot point to argue because we have no real way of knowing how much piracy directly harms a game developer. Maybe an indie game would have performed better had someone not “cracked” it. Maybe it would have performed worse due to people who are unwilling to gamble by spending their money on a revokable game license not discovering & publicly praising it. In reality I think if it’s a good game with effort put into it, people are going to pay for it regardless - not everyone, but the vast majority of people who would be playing it, even if just because they don’t know how to pirate

Buy European@feddit.uk•Is starting massively pirating things the right thing to do?
61·9 months agoWith the AI stuff, they are not just copying the work, they are stealing small creators livelihoods as well as the efforts of their labour.
They’re also distributing the work and making profit off of it. This isn’t really comparable to someone pirating a game in the age where digital ownership is near dead and every other new game is $60 with game breaking glitches on release

I’m not trying to unilaterally defend the decision, it’s just not going to make me personally switch browsers. From what I’m hearing a lot of the viable alternatives are forks of Firefox anyway.
Thanks I’ll read up on it :)

I ended up finding this on droidify and it seems to work
