If I’m reading this patch note correctly, they didn’t actually fix it using too much battery, it seems they fixed android over reporting the battery used?

It’s a loose cannon, but dang it it’s the best washer on the force.
It’s one of those things you just have to accept about this kind of social media and, in a sense, Lemmy users specifically. I’m not too surprised that parts of this community are in the camp of disliking things because they are popular and don’t fit their specific wants/needs. Many people are here because they dislike the more popular Reddit, after all.
In a more general sense, most people when they don’t like something are neutral about it, and those people won’t show up in the comment section, so all we see are these more “extreme” opinions.
I enjoy watching LTT videos, but you won’t find me jumping into comment sections saying I’m a huge fan and there’s no way they could have done something bad because I like their channel, for example. Getting the independent audit was a good idea, and I’m glad they went through it. I don’t think the defamation comment was necessary, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the message is worth ignoring.
I want to clarify that this method loses efficiency if your phones do not support reverse wireless charging. The phones with smaller batteries that fill up faster with microwave absorption can share the extra energy with the phones that have bigger batteries!
Unironically, that could save lives
You can get a screen protector that has the same effect.
Nah it still runs really poorly. Shame too, otherwise it’s my favorite mainline game.
Going by the recent firings, I’d wager he’s in on it.
Some of the water is inside the map and is interactable, the rest is prebaked
I don’t know why so many people in the fediverse consider Element a competitor to Discord. I regularly use Element, but the non-text functionality just isn’t ready to point people at as an alternative. They will have a bad time and write off Element potentially forever if they are shown that app as an alternative right now.
Some examples of functionality that is important to discord but is not a good experience or is not ready in element yet: voice/video channels, screen sharing, custom emotes and reactions, channel organization and browsing (their latest attempt just doesn’t do it for me).
Additionally, there are times when encryption just has a hiccup still or someone sets it up wrong and things can be messy because of it.
I really like element and they’ve done a good job so far, but It’s just not ready for people to be pushed there from discord.
Some people are downvoting you but you’re right. No other application is this all in one package. My only issues with input devices have been Windows’ fault, too. I don’t like Discord’s closed ecosystem and data privacy concerns, but the feature set is unmatched, especially at the amount of polish they have and their price.
Side note, people please stop using it as an alternative to a proper forum.
I was being genuine since the comment read to me like it could have had some tongue in cheek, didn’t mean to cause any harm and did not mean to have these kinds of votes attached, sorry.
Are you the author?
Oracle cloud will stop things if it goes out of the free tier.
I haven’t checked the settings, can I make my friends list the default window again?
Because they pollute a lot
I have the always on screen turned off and the only way to turn it on is the button or when a notification comes in. My battery lasts almost a month.
I feel like I’ve already gotten my money’s worth with how much I’ve played the current version. If they somehow pull a cubeworld and make it worse, I’m sure the community would love to source an old and good version.
I am a poorly trained large language model with legs, nice to meet you.
