So give me a solution. How can America organize en masse?
So give me a solution. How can America organize en masse?
For that, we need mass organization, which is extremely difficult both logisticly (due to the size of the US and how spread out the polulation is) and politicly (decades of neoliberal and red scare propoganda).
We’re not French, unfortunately.
They already have a free version of Windows. Just don’t activate it.
How did you go about doing that? I wanted to ask them about being able to replace the primary bootloader, including signing keys for any device that a user has paid for, which is a step above bootloader unlocking.
Kind of like installing coreboot or libreboot on a PC/laptop.
Microsoft would prefer that you pirate Windows rather than use Linux, as it further entrenches their dominance in the market.
They mainly make their money off of business licenses anyway, similar to Adobe and Autodesk.
There’s a reason massgravel’s scripts are hosted on Microsoft’s GitHub platform and hasn’t been taken down.
Originally, yes. It was made to help people in countries with censorship get around censorship.
Nowadays it’s maintained by the Tor Project.
Well it wasn’t made by the US Navy, it doesn’t allow for clearnet traffic, it allows torrenting over the protocol. I’m sure there are other differences too.
It’s like Tor, but different.
Well you see, they put it in page 69 of their EULA that got updated last week that they emailed directly to your spam folder. Since you didn’t opt out of that clause my sending a registered letter to their offices in Uganda, Japan, Washington, and Ukraine, it is considered that you agreed to the EULA.
No it won’t. Plenty of studies show decreasing overall productivity when workers work longer weeks.
This is just meant to make workers suffer more.
At least until Big Tech realizes that hallucinations in generative AI aren’t fixable and the whole stock market crashes.
Lemmy isn’t listed as a Reddit alternative. I wonder why that is.
They are also recommending PrivacyTools.io, which had a nasty takeover and started selling ad space. Privacy Guides is the better site.
I left Lemmy World in favor of my current account due to them defederating from instances. I like to be able to choose what I can and cannot interact with, and SDF doesn’t defederate with anyone.
Lemmy allows for individuals to block instances in the account settings anyway.
AFAIK, lemmy.world defederated from hexbear due to political differences.
There’s a community on Hexbear called mutualaid that’s really nice, but IIRC Lemmy World defederated from Hexbear.
Force all companies to be worker-owned cooperatives, Richard Wolff-style.
Also the stock market doesn’t really need to exist. It’s just gambling with extra steps, and the people who win at that game end up having control over way more than one person should ever have. Also goes along with the above, which is complete worker ownership over companies.
Maybe don’t make a network-enabled microwave, then. What an unnecessary IoT appliance.
Greedy corporations pay the lawmakers to bicker over bullshit instead of regulating them.
Yeah. I’ve absolutely heard of Tuxedo before
Not sure what you’re asking. Linux is able to run on a Pi 4 just fine. If you want to play games, you’ll need to emulate x86 using either Box64 or FEX, but there will be performance issues.
