Great thread this, loads to check out.
I’ll recommend Songhoy Blues from Mali, and Gaspar Nali of Malawi, both excellent.

I’ll need to check that out, sounds good. In return, I’ll recommend the Beginner’s Guide to African Funk, a 3 CD set full of absolute gems.
Thunderball - Tom Jones
Yep. I have on several occasions had dreams about my phone having been taken over by malware or similar, the homescreen being changed to be full of junk apps, and being unable to uninstall them or take back control of the phone. Not pleasant at all.
I haven’t, but I will definitely watch that, thanks! 👍
Ha ha, fair enough. I see I’ve met someone as stubborn as I am ;-)
Veronica Mars, Ironside, Chuck…
Arguably Fawlty Towers too?
Ha ha, fair enough, I admire your determination to make this rule stick!
Another counterpoint though - Quincy ME. Oh course you could argue that it’s not all that good even with Jack Klugman’s crime solving coroner.
Oh, another one - Father Ted!
I only ever saw that Royal Family video of his, and it was enough for me never to seek out any more.
Homage maybe, but not a spinoff :-)
Yeah, fair enough. It’s not a joke that has aged well, certainly.
I’m not that knowledgeable on either, but if I remember rightly you also have the choice of watching the TV Show as it was broadcast in the USA or as it was broadcast in the UK (and maybe elsewhere) - the main difference being that the USA one has a laugh track added.
I may have some of the details wrong, but just FYI.
Isn’t she just doing that to try and stop Steve Holt from being attracted to her mum instead of to her?
I don’t think she was trying to get people to be nasty to her particularly, just trying to distract Steve.
Another exception: Archer
Here you go - DAGA:
An X aong the top means don’t play this string for this chord. A circle means play this string without any fingers on the frets. And obviously a numbered circle on a fret means put that finger in this spot.
It’s fairly simple to do those chords (and I suck at guitar, seriously), and they sound nice.
Hope that helps and you don’t chuck your guitar :-)
EDIT - just realised that that’s not even how I play G or A - same fret holds but I use different fingers for them.
JUMP JUMP!
The Daddy Mac’ll make ya…
Oh, is THAT what it is? Thanks, I couldn’t figure it out at all! 👍
Idi Amin was Uganda! ;-)
