Remember, kids, that pet’s names are often used for passwords. Don’t share sensitive information.
That said, I have no reason to believe that OP is trying to crack accounts. They seem to be a normal Lemmy user.
Honestly, I thought the “Fuck the state” was the original until I searched for the artist to credit them.
This is why I hide my paper towels in a cabinet.
She does! She has a few puzzle toys that I switch between using each day.
She’s a very smart cat, so I try to give her plenty of stimulation.
Reminds me of when I implemented content aware scaling for computer graphics in college. I used it to make this monstrosity:

please allow the community to vote on dead pet posts.
The community already votes on dead pet posts via upvotes/downvotes. And the results are largely in favor of allowing these posts.
I understand that death is a tough subject for some people. These sort of posts make me tear up too. But our beloved furry friends are not immortal. They all die eventually.
If this community can serve as a place to help people grieve when they lose their pets then I’d say it’s worth making a few people uncomfortable.
Rest in peace, Izumi. You were a beautiful cat that was clearly well loved in life.
It was given to me so I don’t know where it’s originally from.
I found what looks like the same thing by searching “mushroom scratching post” on amazon.
There’s no knife nearby. Guess I’ll get to gnawing.
Like an adorable chestburster!
Smart kitty!
Does Syrup know any other tricks?
My cat’s name is Possum. Not really a crazy name, but it has caused confusion before.
Once I was picking her up from the vet and said “I’m here to pick up Possum.”
Then the lady at the front gave me a confused look and said “We don’t treat Possums here.”
Get well soon, Scooter!
Aww. Poor Scooter.
My snowshoe had to have a tooth removed earlier this year. My vet said it’s pretty common for the breed to have tooth and gum problems. He said my girl is likely going to need more teeth removed eventually.
I think our cats need to do a technique exchange. Mine’s mastered hiding her head and yours hiding his body.
If they combined their knowledge we might never see them again.
If I had a nickel for every time someone asked me where I got my cat’s blanket I’d have two…
I found it in a closet at my grandma’s house several years ago. And I think it was in that closet for a few decades before I found it.
Its tag was already cut off when I found it, so I don’t have any way to identify it.
Adorable! He has beetle juice eyes.
For anybody thinking this new game will be anything like XCOM prepare for disappointment.
Jake has previously said that he is leaving turn-based tactics games behind.
And his tweet announcing Midsummer even says “it’s going to seem very different from what I’ve done before.”
edit: There is some good news for turn-based tactics fans. Another studio founded by former XCOM devs is focusing on turn-based games.
