I don’t want to block politics. How can I amend this?

Could you just unsubscribe and look at your subscribed feed?

Even on Reddit, the largest subs would pop up more when sorting by ‘top X’

Thank you. I did try that, unfortunately it didn’t change much.

Still it’s mainly politics, world news and Technology.

As far as I’m aware, Lemmy does not have a way to add weights to communities visibility (ie. making some communities more visible by giving them a higher weight and vice-versa)

Maybe change your sorting to Hot or Active?

Hot or Active is indeed better. I read on several occasions to switch to Top 6hours to amend the situation. I must say I’m a bit overwhelmed.

Amend how? If you don’t want to see it, block it. If you don’t want to block it, it’ll keep being there and you’ll need to deal. If neither’s acceptable, the fediverse unfortunately isn’t a good place for you right now: while it would be a classy move for all these people to limit politics to political communities (same as every other user/topic/community), they just… won’t.

Unfortunately that leaves you needing to handle it on your own end with limited resources - blocking.

The best way would probably be using an app that lets you filter out specific words you don’t want to see.

The feed seems to differ if I try different clients (Jerboa, Liftoff, Boost, Sync). Is that even possible?
