One of the most popular trails in Olympic National Park both for its ease and location, the trail begins at Lake Crescent and meanders through an old growth forest before reaching the 90 ft tall waterfall. Lovely stroll along the large Barnes Creek provides excellent backdrop along the way to falls.

One near and one far wooden bridges made from split trees may be seen along the trail crossing over Barnes Creek. A heavily moss tangle of branches drape down the left of frame.

A merged and split pair of trees grow with thick roots encompassing a large boulder. The trail may be seen wrapping around them to the right.

A large fallen tree lays suspended over the trail with a variety of tree species growing in the area around it. Moss may be seen growing on all surfaces.
